Food servers are also known as waiters and are responsible for taking orders and offering food and drinks to patrons. Common duties include providing menus, offering information about dishes, bringing food to tables, handling special requests, and resetting tables.

Common skills include customer service, teamwork, and good communication abilities. While not required, a high school diploma and on-the-job training are helpful.
