Professional actors bring characters to life in films, TV productions and live performances. Typical responsibilities include rehearsing, performing character research, wearing costumes and makeup, doing voice-overs for commercials, and performing in front of a camera or of a live audience.
Essential skills for this role are acting talent, the ability to perform in front of the public, physical endurance, stamina, excellent speaking abilities, teamwork, and networking. Many professional actors have undergone specific training and sometimes display in their resumes a degree in drama or theater arts.
